History:
The Computer Club of Busoga college Mwiri was on the 5th July 1999 primarily to promote computer literacy in the school and also to enhance the school's image to the outside world through activities like presentations on Open Days and other expository functions. Originally, the Club developed from a nucleus of S1, S2 and S3 students who were involved in the cleaning and maintenance of the Computer Centre. These Keba, Katende, Amara, Wanyama, Muhumuza, Omona, Acemah, Oucul and others. When the school acquired close to 80 PCs from Friends of Mwiri in the UK, the then In - Charge of the Computer Centre, Mr. Mugoya Henry Mwondha asked some of these core - members to form the club. It was at this juncture that the Club was born with Wanyama B. and Omona M. of Senior 4 taking on leadership as Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively. The Patroness was Ms. Esther Kisakye who was assisted by Mr. Mugoya and Mr. Kutegana, the other members of the Computing Department.

Current Activities:
The Club is currently engaged in a project that will enable members to acquire skills to use the Internet as an educational resource. The Club is also undertaking a project to link up with other schools under SchoolNet Uganda to share ideas about the use of IT in schools. Members of the Club are also being encouraged to widen their knowledge of IT by utilising the recently acquired VSAT link to the Internet.
