History:

The Computer Club of Busoga college Mwiri was on the 5th
July 1999 primarily to promote computer literacy in the
school and also to enhance the school's image to the
outside world through activities like presentations on
Open Days and other expository functions.
Originally, the Club developed from a nucleus of S1, S2
and S3 students who were involved in the cleaning and
maintenance of the Computer Centre. These Keba, Katende,
Amara, Wanyama, Muhumuza, Omona, Acemah, Oucul and others.
When the school acquired close to 80 PCs from Friends of
Mwiri in the UK, the then In - Charge of the Computer
Centre, Mr. Mugoya Henry Mwondha asked some of these
core - members to form the club. It was at this juncture
that the Club was born with Wanyama B. and Omona M. of
Senior 4 taking on leadership as Chairman and Vice Chairman
respectively. The Patroness was Ms. Esther Kisakye who
was assisted by Mr. Mugoya and Mr. Kutegana, the other
